Blindsight

I created the brand identity, designed products, wrote and managed grants, and secured patents for Blindsight, a computer vision company developing assistive technology used by over 200,000 blind, low-vision, and actively-aging people. A pioneer in the use of artificial intelligence for consumer products, Blindsight was subsequently acquired by Amazon.

I performed research, requirements analysis, and interaction design for Blindsight’s successful handheld Smart Magnifier and wearable Smart Telescope products.

I wrote, budgeted, and managed grants funded by the National Institutes of Health that supported Blindsight’s research and development projects over a 5-year period.

I also wrote, diagrammed, and filed applications for numerous successful technology patents.
