Alyson Belcher Photography

I created an integrated brand identity for Alyson Belcher, an internationally-exhibited fine art photographer and professor at the Academy of Art University. Her long-exposure pinhole photography explores the traces of meaning and memory held in our bodies and the spaces we inhabit.

"My self-portraits combine pinhole photography with improvisational performance and stem from the idea that everything we experience is stored somewhere in our bodies."

— Alyson Belcher

I constructed a visual language using shaded contours and layers of paper to mirror the evanescent traces of skin and fabric seen in Alyson’s photographs and developed print collateral, portfolio packaging, and a portfolio website to help her share her work with galleries and collectors worldwide.

"Often the body remembers what the mind has forgotten."

— Alyson Belcher
